FYI
I'm back in the saddle today (although the headwind home was equal to the worse I can remember). With the full set of bags I was greatful for passing vehicles as it shieldd the wind somewhat. It was head on, mostly so I didn't overheat as I sported my dad's village provided ANSI II complient orange vest with reflective lime and silver stripping. The vest is a bit overly snug which feels good on hurt ribs. My downstairs neigbor who works in a hospital and whose late husband was an avid biker suspects fracture of rib(s) but agrees that they would just wrap it, since I apparently didn't puncture a lung. No shame coming home slowly today. Middle chainring all the way.
Weather.com says winds are at 23 gusts to 31. That is not a lie. I wish t was a tail wind. It wasn't there in the morning.
