Burning

Yesterday I did a run to work. Almost there and a big bump releases my back tire. Some cramped bending fixes that and it goes well, not too bad. On the way home I took breaks of clipping out because the balls of my feet were burning. I mean I had major pain. I put in the knee savers and no more knee pain,. I am unclear on whether the knee savers affect the cleat burning. My cleats are all the way back toward the heels. I have read of bent riders driling the shoe slots for another 1/4" back becasue of how your foot hangs of the pedals on a bent.

Also, sun screen from last season should not be trusted. Ask my fire engine red shins and stips above the knee.

What are "knee savers?" Sounds like I could have used those kayaking Saturday since the boat I was using ended up giving me purple knees!

kneesavers are threaded bushings that you can insert between the crank arm and the peddle to give me more clearence between the cranks and my legs. They effectively give me more room to "float" or free rotate my foot without interfering with the drive train. Mine are the 25mm ones. Theye were designed for people with big feet, wide hips and/or toe out pedaling position
