Here He Comes Here Comes Speed Racer...

Well Sunday was the normal meet up ride with the gang... Handy Rider, JM CK and I went for about 15 miles. Our group is starting to have and interesting bike dynamic. I have the Hybrid, HR and JM have mountain bikes and CK has his Bent Trike... Well we got off to a typical start with some minor adjustments being needed all around. JM had to clean out dirt from his pedals from a hard dirt ride the day before and CK is still adjusting to the trike. We went across the roads to the path and in no time CK...AKA Speed Racer set the pace. For a second I say a Blue Mountain Bike shadow with DM on it... That was just an illusion, it was CK riding HARD!!! The first hill he went flying down and if it were not for the following up hill we would not have been anywhere near him. Every hill down was like a speed race track with CK hitting the 20's which was a first for me to see... His typical flat pace was between 15-17 MPH which made even JM have to take a breath... If it were not for the up hills his average speed would have been considerably higher then it actually was. I think we all only averaged around 10.5 MPH, which included a few stops for adjustments on the trike. It will take a while for CK to get used to the settings and find his perfect comfort point.

Though out the ride there was this clicking sound we could not figure out at first. By the time we got back I followed CK closely and watched and listened... Click, Click, Click... Got IT!!! It was the magnet from his computer. Apparently when he had the new rack added the sensor must have been bumped. After a few minutes of adjusting the sound was gone and all was good as new. I think by the time summer is out I will know more about the trike then my own bike...

I will have to really start to push it to keep up with CK... or should I say... SPEED RACER!!!!

TRAILER BIKE
I picked up a trailer bike yesterday for 6yo to go on rides with me. After messing with it I finally got it where I wanted it. I got a great deal on it so I was very happy... $99.00 Normal... $89.00 Clearance plus 10% for floor model... Not to bad. On negative is my Trunk Rack can not be on when the trailer bike is attached. DOH...

BIKE TRANSPORT RACK
My new 3 bike rack arrived today. I set it up on the van and it fits just perfect!!! I wish I could have a hitch rack, but that involves getting a hitch as well...
